Chattahoochee County Schools is composed of two campuses and a disciplinary alternative education program. Chattahoochee County Middle/High School serves approximately 450 students in grades 9-12 and 150 students grades 6-8. Approximately 300 students are enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade at Chattahoochee County Education Center. The Head Start program located at the Education Center meets the diverse needs of Chattahoochee County's three and four year olds. The Education Center also offers day care serving 6-weeks to 3 years old and an after school program up to 12 years old.
Located 10 minutes south of Columbus, and bordering the south side of Fort Benning, Cusseta has a population of approximately 1,200. The county has an excellent recreation center which supports the county football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and cheerleading programs. The Cusseta-Chattahoochee Public Library, a part of the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries, serves our community and provides access to a broad range of materials, events, and services. Riverbend Park provides boaters, fishermen, and campers access to the Chattahoochee River while two additional park areas prove a fun place for children.
