On Monday, March 23 Chattahoochee County Schools will launch Week 2 of Distance Learning. We appreciate our teachers, students, and families who are working together to make Week 1 successful. We are so impressed with their commitment to ensuring teaching and learning continues during these challenging times. We urge those parents of students who do not have access to the internet, to please stop by the school on Friday, March 20 between the hours of 8-11 and 1-3 to pick up their students learning packets, so that we can ensure their learning continues as well.

Students,
Remember to check your school email and Google Classroom daily!

Good morning Chattco family. I want to take this moment to clear up some confusion. The packets, which are being handed out at the middle/high school, are only intended for students who do not have internet access. If you have internet access then all class related info is being handled through different technologies such as Google Classroom, USA TestPrep, and Zoom. We understand this is an extremely difficult situation. Thank you for all of your understanding and cooperation. 1 Heartbeat

All Middle/High School packets are available for pick up starting March 19th-March 27th from 8-11am and 1-3pm. If you need to update your demographics, a form will be available at the front office during this time. Offices are currently closed. Please reach out via email. The office will be open from 8-10 daily for critical phone calls.

Who is ready for some lunch?! Buses are rolling and ready to see you at the stops! For your stop information visit the COVID-19 Nutrition Routes page under the Transportation and Nutrition tab on our website!

Parents: Tomorrow we will post the meal and book distribution schedule. In the meantime, continue practicing social distancing and avoid groups. Lastly, join me in thanking our elected officials. All end of year state testing, Ga Milestones, has been suspended for this spring.

Families:
As more information is shared across our state about the impact of COVID-19, we want you to know that your child's education and needs are the most important to us. Over the weekend and through the next two days, all employees are preparing items so children can continue to be engaged in learning. Please check https://www.chattco.org/article/208538 for the details of the Home Learning Plan. As meals are available and distributed at specific locations in the community, the USDOE requires that children be present to receive the meal. Please remember that any child may receive food, and the child must be present to receive it. Additional information will be shared regarding times and locations for meal and learning packet distribution. Use this time at home to practice good hygiene and hand washing, and contact your local doctor if you have a temperature or are ill. Please limit your contact with others and crowds and enjoy some quality home time.

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak has captured worldwide attention and raised many concerns. Its rapid spread, sometimes conflicting information and differing governmental responses in addressing the respiratory disease has caused confusion and anxiety. Our goal is to reduce any anxiety by proactively addressing the manner in which Chattahoochee County Schools will address out of country travel and health needs. Health and safety remain a top priority and we appreciate your support as we work to ensure a positive learning environment for every child.

Good Afternoon, ChattCo Family!
As most of you are aware, we unexpectedly lost a beloved member of our staff this week with the passing of David Cochran. David served as a teacher and coach in public education for 42 years, the last 10 at ChattCo High. While at ChattCo, he has been named a school Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year. On four occasions, David was selected by the STAR students as their STAR teacher. To honor Mr. Cochran's legacy, the school will be hosting a service in his honor on Friday, February 1st at 2:00pm. In order to allow students and employees an opportunity to attend the service, we will have an early release for students this Friday. Elementary will release at 11:00am and middle/high will release at 12:00pm. We realize this is very short notice. If this poses a supervision issue for younger students, please contact the school to discuss arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Contact the school board office with further questions.

Good Evening Parents,
Friday afternoon you should have received information regarding a couple of changes to the bus schedules for students in the Head Start Program, Brown bus students from the Chattahoochee County Education Center and Blue and Brown Bus students at Chattahoochee Middle High School.
This information should have come in the form of a letter, a text message, or a phone call.
Unfortunately today, we received information that will force us to unfortunately change these plans once again for tomorrow morning Monday 2 October 2017. The Middle High School - will be impacted as blue bus students will be picked at their original time (7:05) and delivered to the Middle High School around 7:35-7:40 A.M. The Blue bus will then head to Fort Benning and pick up the current Middle High School students who ride Brown Bus around 7:55 am and return them to the Middle High School sometime after 8:15 am.
There will still be a delay in students returning home after school as Blue bus students will be delivered and then the Blue bus will return to the Middle High School around 4 pm to pick up those students who currently ride Brown bus.
Again, we apologize for the delays and changes and hope to have the situation resolved as quickly as possible.
Football this week: Come support our CCMS football team as they take on Marion Wed. at 5pm in Panther Stadium. Thurs. the JV team travels to Russell County & on Fri. the varsity team heads to Pelham!
